MIS 333 presents the managerial and technical aspects of information security to prepare future business decision-makers, and addresses knowledge areas of the CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) certification. It provides an overview of the issues related to information security, including assessing the levels of confidentiality, integrity, and availability needed for different types of information, the nature of threats, and the three tiers of information protection, detection, and correction and recovery. Various security techniques related to overall physical environment, IT systems, data encryption, and computer forensics will be discussed.  Awareness of the levels of security:  personal, enterprise, and global.
