Course Description

The importance, power, and functionality of web-based applications continue to grow at pace, as does the number of devices used to deliver these applications. The purpose of this course is to provide the students with a broad understanding of the fundamental concepts of designing and developing web-based systems, focusing on the key foundation technologies (e.g., ASP.Net, CSS, XHTML, Scripts). The course introduces the methods, models, tools, and techniques required to build and host secure web applications, with sophisticated interfaces. It also discusses some in-depth issues relating to the production and evaluation of websites, linking databases with web pages, and E-Business websites.
