Academic Accreditation
Unit Description:
The Unit assumes the duty of setting up the accreditation plan needed by the College, following up the implementation of all the plans and supporting all the departments towards accomplishing the accreditation tasks, in addition to inculcating and disseminating the culture of accreditation throughout the college.
The functions of the unit:
1 - Building a vision and a mission for the Academic Accreditation Unit
2 - Setting up plans, policies and objectives of academic accreditation within the College
3 - Providing support for the various departments in order to maintain contact with the local, regional and international accreditation bodies
4 - Coordinating with the different departments to set a timetable for the visit of academic accreditation bodies
5 - Following-up visits by experts and academic accreditation bodies to the various Departments in the College
6 - Offering advice to the departments on issues related to academic accreditation
7 - Promoting the spirit of initiative towards obtaining academic and professional accreditation from prestigious international institutions
Evaluation Measurement
Unit Description:
The Evaluation and Measurement Unit assumes the task of identifying, building and developing the standards of measurement and evaluation as well as of monitoring the evaluation operations in the various departments and units within the College.
The functions of the unit:
1. Building a vision and a mission for the Unit of Measurement and Evaluation
2. Setting up plans, policies and objectives for measurement and evaluation at the level of the college
3. Identifying and building measurements and standards of measurement and evaluation for the College
4. Spreading the culture of measurement and evaluation through training courses, workshops, lectures and seminars.
5. Providing support for academic departments and the various units with regard to the functions of the college unit
6. Assisting the different academic departments and units within the College to carry out measurement and evaluation
7. Working towards diversification of the methods of measurement and the adoption of modern methods in measuring and evaluating performance
8. Following-up evaluation in the various units of the College
9. Contributing to the scientific modernization and development of methods and tools of measurement
10. Designing questionnaires and data collection tools with regard to measurement and evaluation
11. Reporting the evaluation results of the total units for the purpose of continuous improvement
12. Announcing the performance evaluation results within the College periodically
13. Reviewing the faculty performance evaluation results
14. Identifying the frameworks needed to measure the learning level of graduates
15. Communicating with the academic departments and urging them to ensure the compatibility of the curricula in terms of the materials, programs and tracks with the labor market requirements
16. Following-up the performance evaluation of faculty
17. Pursuing measurement studies regarding customer satisfaction.
Quality Control
Unit Description:
The Quality Control Unit is an administrative unit that is focused on spreading the culture of quality throughout the College and on providing support and advice for the various departments and units. It is also focused on helping achieve excellence in the application of quality and in the training of human cadres towards quality assurance within the College.
The functions of the unit:
The functions of the Quality Control Unit are as follows:
1. Dissemination of quality culture among employees and the overall awareness of what can be done in the application of quality.
2. Providing support and advice for the academic departments and units on the various issues regarding quality and its applications.
3. Providing consultation towards improving quality and prospects at the level of the College and its academic departments.
5. Preparation of bulletins, booklets and brochures as well as organizing workshops and lectures that can help in spreading the culture of quality throughout the College.
6. Supporting and training personnel in order to ensure quality at the macro level of the College as well as at the level of the academic departments and the various units.
8. Reporting to the College's administration proposals and consultations that would help improve scientific and professional performance in the various academic departments within the College.
