Introduction
The College of Business Administration was established in 1959 as the College of Commerce, and Public administration Department was established in 1979. Since then, the college has adopted high level of education, which resulted in the graduation of a number of administrative and political leaders at the public and private organizations. As a result of developments at the local and international level, many subjects have become important, such as governance and public policies, which makes the adoption of new programs that offer these topics is a necessity.
The new program offers governance and public policy as the theme of the program. The governance and public policy program cover general policies of the important topics, which had not been addressed adequately. Additionally, few programs in the region have been introduced that cover governance and policy analysis, which makes the new program unique. This program contains important subjects such as good governance, policy analysis and implementation in the public and private organizations

Developing administrative leaders in the field of governance in the public sector and public policy analysis, using practical and scientific methods in policy analysis and problem solving
Improve the skills of those enrolled in the program by applying a flexible system of implementation to suit the working conditions for those wishing to develop their scientific and applied skills from different sectors
Find a link between King Saud University and government and nongovernment institutions.
The contribution of the program in providing specialists and government officials with the necessary skills to implement the initiatives of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Vision 2030, and the implementation of models and frameworks of governance in the public sector, in order to achieve the goals of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Vision 2030.

Admission requirements
The applicant must have a bachelor’s degree from a university recommended by the Ministry of Education in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in related disciplines such as (public administration, economics, accounting, political science, law, finance), with a grade of no less than (good).
The applicant should have at least one-year work experience.
