Course Description

This course focuses on the development and application of decision models in supply chains with emphasis on demand forecasting, aggregate planning, inventory management (cycle and safety), supply network design, transportation, and coordination and sourcing. Spreadsheet based tools and techniques will extensively be utilized in building various decision models for effective decision making in supply chains. The early part of the course will focus on concepts of Supply Chain Management and clarifying its importance to an organization. In the subsequent stage the course would enable the students to know the different tools of a supply chain and analyze the supply chain performance of companies. |
