A Welcome by the Graduate Council Chair

The College of Business Administration at KSU offers the highest number of graduate programs in the Arab World.  There are seven different majors at the doctorate level and twelve different masters programs, some of which are specialized. This bulletin introduces the programs that are administered by the Council of Graduate Programs in Business (CGPB).  These programs are interdisciplinary in nature: Master of Business Administration (MBA), both general track and several specific majors; Master of Business Administration/Continuing (MBA-Continuing); Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA); and Doctor of Philosophy in Business Administration (Ph.D.). Today's business world needs leaders who know how to analyze and solve complex management problems.  The KSU masters and doctorate degrees in business prepare its graduates to meet that challenge.  We have designed our degrees to provide a solid core of business skills that emphasize leadership development, teamwork, strategic thinking, and appreciation of the global environment. KSU CBA is especially proud of the Ph.D. in Business Program, the first business doctoral program in the Arabian Peninsula.  Its rigorous course of study aims to prepare future faculty, researchers, and business leaders for challenging careers. The program offers Four majors: finance, management, marketing, and accounting. We hope you will join us at KSU, the top University, the top university in the Arab World, the best Business School in the region, and the most challenging and innovative graduate business programs in the Gulf region.   Prof. Mohamed Abdulrahman AL-Motairi, Ph.D. Chair, Council of Graduate Programs in Business

About Council

The restructuring of the College of Business Administration in 2006 necessitated the reconfiguration of the administration of the master degrees in business.  The College Council in 2007 created the Council of Graduate Programs in Business Administration to run graduate degrees in business that are interdisciplinary in nature and do not belong to a specific department.  The Deanship of Graduate Studies and the University Council approved this structure, which aligned with University regulations regarding the management of interdisciplinary graduate programs.
